It Takes a Village - And I’m Proud to Be Part of That Village!
I had the honour of celebrating the City of Bayswater’s 13th birthday with members of the City of Bayswater VIEW Club!
Through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, the VIEW Club supports young Australians experiencing disadvantage. This year, they’ve chosen to support an organisation incredibly close to my heart — The Saba Rose Button Foundation!
Kirst and I were invited to share our stories and our special connection to the Foundation. It was an incredibly emotional day, reflecting on how far I’ve come, my journey with the Foundation, and it made me incredibly proud of what I do, and most importantly, who I do it for.
I said, “It takes a village to raise a child.” While I’m grateful I’m no longer the little girl needing so much support, I’m even more grateful to now be a part of the village supporting our little legends and showing them that anything is possible!
Thank you, Kirst, and the entire Button family, for allowing me to be part of the Foundation’s journey. Thank you for everything you do, for the lives you touch, and for continuing to create opportunities for our little legends.
I’m so proud to be part of your village!
And a heartfelt thank you to The City of Bayswater VIEW Club!
