Turning challenges into beauty.
Last week, I had the privilege of attending the 2026 Greater Bunbury Mental Health Youth Forum, run by Blue Leaf Initiative, at the Bunbury Entertainment Centre.
This forum brought together students from across the Bunbury region, creating a safe and inclusive space to learn about mental health.
I had the honour of being a guest presenter, sharing my live experience with a disability and mental health. I spoke about my experiences of exclusion, how that impacted my self-worth and belief in myself from a young age.
We explored different topics around disability, mental health and human connection, including how even small acts of inclusion and kindness can have a powerful, life-changing impact...
I’m so grateful for the conversations that followed, with many students asking me how they can advocate for inclusive change in their own communities. It was incredibly inspiring to see a generation so passionate about building a kinder, more inclusive future!
Thank you to the Blue Leaf Initiative for the opportunity to speak to the next generation of change makers and leaders
